EyeSeeHue Online store and Sephora Sheet Mask Review

Hi guys ! Happy Friday ! Who's excited for the weekend ? I am - I hardly have a Saturday off but now that we are moving into the Festive season I'm off... Yeah !

If you follow me on social media you know I'm in love with sheet masks. As a single mom I value my time - so sheet masks are my special me-time treat . They are quick and easy - I can pop them on , write a blogpost , watch some series on T.V or fold laundry or answer emails at night. After the 20 minutes (I sometimes do leave them on for even longer than that) I massage the extra serum / essence into my skin and voila.

I usually classify sheet masks into two categories - more affordable options for 2 / 3 times a week when I need a boost and more special me time masks. I love how they address any skin concerns I might have (dry skin ... blemishes ... anti -ageing )

I was lucky enough to get sent some of these Sephora sheet masks from a new online store in South Africa - EyeSeeHue . They stock some International brands that are not available in South Africa like Eyeko , Sephora masks and lip balms , Lipstick Queen & some great Too Faced goodies. It's always hard to find reliable trustworthy third party sellers that won't disappear with your money - so it's always great to find a great trustworthy store with great service.

The store is run by a lovely lady named Andrea Herman . She's also a qualified makeup artist with a major love for any beauty products .

So onto the Sephora sheet masks I got to try. These masks retail for R120 each (making them on the higher end of my treat masks - but they are worth every cent - these are the creme de la creme of sheet masks )

Sephora Avocado Mask
Sephora Orchid Invisilk Mask
Sephora Pomegranate Invisisilk Mask

These masks are super soft and is made from a little bit of a thicker material that fits the skin perfectly - these ones are a little broader so they will fit any face shape . They are nice and cooling on the face and I love how soft the material is on the skin .

Of the three I got I love all three for different reasons. I would definitely suggest getting a few to de-stress before Christmas or spoiling yourself after wrapping all the Christmas gifts.

Do you love sheet masks ? Anything on the EyeSeeHueMake-Up store that catches your eye?

November Sample Sunday Rundown

Hi guys ! Happy Tuesday . How has your week been so far ? Mine has been crazy busy - but luckily it should calm down soon ? Who's ready for the holidays ? I know I am.

So as I mentioned, I'm doing a #SampleSunday on all my social media channels every Sunday - where I do a mini review on a sample sized product or magazine .

So onto this month's exciting items.

Week 1 ( )
This #SampleSunday is a magazine freebie. Glamour Magazine has 4 different beauty related products free this month and I'm sharing swatches of the two options of nail polishes that was available. (The other items where a mascara or Kiss false nails) The pink duo is my favourite but the red and nude are great colours. The polishes has a bit of a chemical smell and was a little goopy (my red and nude set) . Overall these were okay - nothing mind blowing amazing.
Week 2 : (  )
My #SampleSunday this week is another cult favourite - Benefit thePOREfessional. An amazing pore smoothing primer that improves the wear time on your foundation - it's my all time favourite primer and I already own the full size.
Week 3: (  )
Today #SampleSunday is another magazine freebie. The Cosmopolitan has an awesome little white or pink usb cable with three cables free this month making this the perfect addition for someone busy and on the go. If you haven't grabbed a copy yet- I would really recommend this one. This is amazing to pop into your handbag for those days that your phone might die on you at work.

Week 4: ( )
Today's #SampleSunday is one of Avon's new matte lipsticks in Au Naturale- a gorgeous peachy nude. The lipstick has a gorgeous matte finish without drying out your lips at all. Which is great for any matte formula lipstick. The wear time is about 3/4 hours before you need to touch up - which isn't bad as this lipstick is pretty affordable and easy to pop into your bag. I will be showing a few more colours in the future - so if a nude lipstick isn't your cup of tea I have a few bolder shades coming up too.

I will continue in December  - so if you are not following me on one of my platforms - I'm sharing the links here too - feel free to give me a follow. If I'm not following you on Instagram yet - please leave your Instagram link in a comment and I'll give you a follow.

Anyone have exciting plans for this week ? Or any good samples I need to try and get my hands on ?

Essence All About Greys Eyeshadow Palette Swatches and Review

Hi guys. Happy Wednesday . How has your week been so far ? Mine has been pretty chill in general but the rest of the week will be a bit busier.

A while back Essence sent me this palette - and while I showed it a ton over on Instagram - I wanted to do a review on the blog too as this is a really stunning little eyeshadow palette.

They do have 5 in this range - Roses, Greys , Nudes and Bronze & Vintage - and while I usually tend to gravitate towards more nude colours I love grey nail polishes and decided why not try this palette I was sent. I was pleasantly surprised - the colours are all pretty neutral and everyday wear friendly - they aren't glittery (although there sparkly shades has a subtle sparkle I won't say it's a glitter. )

There are 8 shades in this palette - the top row is more grey toned while I found the bottom four shades to be more nude / taupe coloured .

The formulation on these eyeshadows are very smooth and buttery - the apply super easily and they are very pigmented - even the lighter shades. These don't have a chalky feel that you sometimes get on more budget friendly palettes which is a HUGE bonus. When I use the Essence eye primer with these eyeshadows they do last a good  11/12 hours on me . (I have normal / drier eyelids for the record)  I find the Essence eyeshadow primer amazing to make my eyeshadows last longer so if you have oilier eyelids give that eyeshadow primer a whirl too. There isn't any fall out when you use these eyeshadows - which I know was a worry of mine when I used this the first time.

The colours can be vamped up or kept on the more natural nude side which I find is pretty awesome and this palette has become a real winner in my collection . The first row is mostly matte colours with one shimmer / satin shadow and the second row has a bit of a sparkle but isn't glittery or gritty at all.

So of course I wanted to give you guys super cute swatches - so here's some close ups of the palette colours.

Essence All That Grey First Row Shadows

Essence All That Grey Second Row Shadows

These eyeshadows retail for around R89.95 so it's pretty affordable for this little palette.
How has YOUR week been so far ? Have you tried this palette or any of the others ??

*This palette was sent as PR earlier this year but opinions are all my own*

The Perfect Date Night Look with Revlon Unforgettable Encounter

Hi guys ! Happy Friday . The last two weeks totally caught me off guard - I'm a little busier than usual so sorry for the lack of posts this week guys. Hopefully after next week everything will calm down a bit and I can share some more fun posts with you guys.

I got this gorgeous Revlon Unforgettable Encounter perfume I while back and couldn't wait to start playing with it. I decided to do another fun Date Night Look for you guys - this will be another perfect combo for Christmas parties or just going out with someone special.

Revlon Unforgettable Encounter does have a very sensual grown-up scent - I find this perfect for a smarter date night . You feel sexy and sophisticated wearing this gorgeous scent. I decided to pair it with a bold red lippie and a stunning red polish to finish of the look.

Some more info on this scent :

"It’s a heady floral fragrance that opens with fruity top notes of peach, nectarine and juicy litchi. At the core is romantic rose and an intriguing blend of violet and pineapple. Deep woods, oakmoss infused with vetiver and the sensual signature white musk finish off this unforgettable fragrance."

Revlon Love Is On Lipstick

This comes in special edition packaging which is a slick black with red metallic accents including the word “love” inscribed on the outer barrel. Inside the the mantra “I attract love” in 6 different languages appears on the barrel. One of things that might make it a deal breaker is that this lipstick is scented. I'm super sensitive to scent it didn't bother me. The scent also fades after about 15 / 20 minutes - and then starts fading so you won't notice the scent the whole night.

The Revlon Love Is On his is a full on cherry red shade that’s absolutely stunning with incredible pigmentation on a single swipe that’s completely opaque. The colour remains vibrant and strong for a solid four hours. When it fades it did leave behind a pretty soft stain on the lips.  Super Lustrous Lipstick has always had a beautiful texture and glides on so smoothly and is light weight.

Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy - Queen of Hearts
Of course when you are going all out you might as well go all out with red nails too. This is one of my all - time favourite red nail polishes . The formula is smooth , pigmented and lasts pretty well on me. One of the reasons I hate wearing red nail polish - chips are very noticeable on a darker colour. This polish stays about chip-free on me for 4/5 days - which I find awesome since I'm very rough on my nails. I used two coats coats to get this colour opaque and used it with the Gel Envy Top Coat too.

Another great thing about these products - they are all affordable. Let's be real - we all like to dress up and look stunning - but you don't want to spend millions on a fun look.

Do you prefer a soft and girly date night look or a more sexy and sensual look ?? I prefer both - for different occasions.

How has YOUR week been ? Any fun weekend plans ?

*The Revlon Unforgettable Encounter Perfume & Love Is On lipstick was received as PR. All opinions are my own*
